ALEXANDRA - Availability

Around the time when the only newreader with a NEXTSTEP UI was Jayson Adams's NewsGrazer and it seemed clear that it would receive no further updates, Constantin Szallies started to develop a completely new newsreader and decided to make the source code publically available.

After the release of version 0.7 Erik Dörnenburg decided to put his knowledge of the NEXTSTEP environment to good use and joined him. We also managed to convince Tethpub Znek to create a spiffy info-panel.

Release 0.8 became more popular than we'd ever dreamed and we received lots of encouraging e-mails. One of the most important ones came from OBJECT FACTORY who offered to sponsor the project.
