Apple's response ?

Post by Jolly » Wed Oct 20, 2004 1:59 pm

I've read your article and wonder if you have heard anything of Apple in that regard. Or did the code in the obj-c runtime change already ( seems the article was written 2003 ).

If it's a 20% performance gain on a G5, shouldn't it be possible to patch the runtime Apple delivers ?

Thanx for searching the flaws of the Libraries. It seems that more and more people write libraries without any sense of processing speed these days.

#include <stdio.h>
main(){printf(&unix["\021%six\012\0"],(unix)["have"]+"fun"-0x60);}

I think I can say that there are some interesting changes in Tiger, but maybe not like what you'd expect after reading the article. There is still room for improvement.
