Post subject:  stories on film?

It was a boring evening, searching various mental threads through Google. Then I typed in R A Lafferty. I haven't read him in years. I hadn't heard that he'd passed away. I'm very pleased to have found this excellent site!
I recall, maybe as far back as the early 80s, a short film on the CBC. I'm not sure of the name now. Maybe it was Seven Day Terror, if that was the on eabout the kid who made things (and people) disappear by winking through a tube.
Does anyone remember this or other Lafferties on film?
I'll see if I can locate a reference, maybe on the CBC archives, to this film.

Fans of Lafferty should encounter "The Prisoner" television series - which is really one of the greatest television series ever made. It was not directly inspired by Lafferty but if Lafferty had taken an interest in spies and psychological head games he could easily have written the scripts for such a profoundly fascinating show. Fortunately the show exists on video and DVD.

The CBC film was based on 'The Seven Day Terror' but was called 'The Four Day Wonder'. I saw the film before I read the story. Decent adaptation but they do tame the wildness somewhat.
