Hi All

A newbie here w/1 ?

Perhaps you can help me locate the book/story that a "love" poem he wrote appeared in? I carried this around in a wallet for many years as it was the most absurd piece of literature I had ever read! I believe it must have been in one of his books from the late 60's-mid 1970's.

It was titled I believe "A Love Song To ???
Thanks To All For Any Help,

Al R. :?:

Maybe it wasn't Lafferty at all ?
I don't remember any, and I don't see anything listed here: http://www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/ea.cgi?R._A._Lafferty. Also the topic doesn't sound all that Lafferty like :)

I would need some more clues.

Thanks for the reply! You are probably right that it wasn't RAL. For some reason his name is attached to the poem in what remains of my memory.

There was the story "Love Song of Herself" by Edward Bryant, which followed immediately after Lafferty's "Sky" in New Dimensions 1.

thanks for the hint. Truthfully I have never heard of him but it seems likely on 2 counts:

1 As you point out it was right after an RAL story. Also the time period seems perfect.

2 I could not find any comments nor reviews of the story but reading a bit on the author it does seem very likely he wrote it.

I posted a similar ? as I did on this site on a fan site for EB. We shall see.
